Both sides are heavily criticized by their opponents

Finding an election poster for France’s presidential candidates without being mutilated in derogatory terms can be a treasure hunt.

Over the past few weeks, the banners and billboards of Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron have been filled with graffiti that contains various expressions, such as “fascist”, “dirty liberal”, “racist” or “elitist”.

It does not take much thought to know what the target person is.

The intense hatred that many voters express towards one or both parties in this election can take your breath away.
