In the mountains of Asir, for example, we find fig trees called “Al-Hamat” trees, and these trees grew a divine plant in the roads, mountains and wells, and despite the strong love for the fruit of figs, were there great fear that people were in control of these trees at night! Because they believe the jinns inhabit it as well as wells.
Each environment has its own characteristics according to the diversity of latitude and longitude, heights, deserts, soil diversity, and thus climate. We believe that the reservoir of this earth radiates its plant with all its properties, minerals and even its smell. Who among us would consider a small plant that grows in the bosom of a deaf rock? Did we get close? Do we touch the surface of its leaves? Did we smell it? Who among us has ever wondered about its contents and what benefit it can derive from it ?! It is strange and strange to see all these plants that are between our feet with a holistic view that is not deep, because if we ponder them and stand still before the splendor of their colors and ratings of their spectrum, we will inevitably a feeling of kindness and comfort and the depth of the philosophy they leave in ourselves.
It is for the general public, but specialists, scholars and specialized colleges are certainly aware of this and are keen on it.
God has endowed the Kingdom with a rich, varied and wonderful plant life, possibly due to the wide area and diversity of his climate among deserts, mountains, valleys, valleys, rainy and other arid places. Thus, many large natural reserves have been established, which are abundant with many riches of rare animals, plants, birds and reptiles, making the Kingdom one of the world reserves. Cypress, locust and seed, while its rare plants are desert plants like ramet. , blackberry, tamarisk and Sidr, and the Najd desert is full of plants such as fragrant lavender, clover, chrysanthemums, chrysanthemums, vitiligo, monkeys, kohl, orient, tanum and sorrel. The arak tree also covers the forests of those areas. As for the trees of Ghady, Athom, Acacia, Banana, Harmal, Tarfa and Ashar, they are among the trees of the Al-Uruq region, south of the Tuwaiq mountain range. and on the western edge of the Empty Quarter. As for sandalwood, acacia, ficus or summer trees, almonds and prickly pears. Juniper, Qiblah and Kadi are part of the nature of the southern region, especially the slopes of Mount Shada, which embrace the clouds with its high peak, and are covered with fog throughout the year, making it a fertile land for forests. and weeds such as anise, spray and sawdust sucked by bees, which form fountains of honey that glide between the trees, Kadi, Basil, and Baathran, castor, and local rose.
And the one who comes to this area in the spring sees it covered with almond blossoms in a wonderful and picturesque view, and there are many rare medicinal and aromatic plants of pristine nature, and Mount Shada is the mountain on which our master Ibrahim, peace be on him, prayed, and thus classified by researchers as the highest chapel in the world. And geologists, as it reaches a height of two thousand and four hundred meters above sea level, and one of the peculiarities of this mountain is that it is a storeroom of ruby, as confirmed by researchers and geologists, and this is what we have found in some manuscripts.
The Arab relied heavily on plants, as they represented to him the inexhaustible vessel of benefits, whether at the level of household chores or natural works and treatment with them, or optimism and sometimes blessings Man since the beginning of creation or the beginning of human evolution, where he takes the trees and their trunks into houses, and of their leaves are tools and utensils, and sometimes they reach the weaving of garments, such as: the taffsha, the gaff, the khasf (the carpet) and others, but there are some peculiarities of this area in how to handle some plants Besides for economical plants like maize, wheat, barley … etc.
The peculiarity of the environment is evident in the use of special plants, which carry the privacy of the land, and the privacy of longitude and latitude and their convergence together. In the mountains of Asir, for example, we find fig trees called “Al-Hamat” trees, and these trees grew a divine plant in the roads, mountains and wells, and despite the strong love for the fruit of figs, were there great fear that people were in control of these trees at night! Because they believe that the jinns inhabit them as well as wells, and this is due to the density of these trees, the large size and the darkness of their leaves, so they make noises along with the strong wind at night, which this belief deepens in the hearts of men that it is the sounds of the jinn, and the wells are so deep that they seem to be an unknown decision, and this faith deepens, in addition, to the sound of the wind within these wells that the silence of the nights, hence the belief that the jinns live in pits and fig trees.
We can not limit the types of plants in these regions due to their great diversity, but there are plants that are very prominent in the people of these regions that they eat, and use for many purposes.
But if we are dealing with folk medicine and the people of the desert and villages use plants for treatment, we can say that the people of the island without exception used all herbs and trees for medicinal purposes, such as: “myrrh”, thyme, dialogue, black seed, etc., and it was considered a popular trade in the Arab markets and one of the sources of its economy.
