Sultan Ismail, one of the founders of the Alawite state in Morocco, loving (1 of 2)

preface

My novel writing work “Ismail al-Sultan” (1056 – 1139 AH), on which I had been working for three years, this work was intriguing to me while I was a student at Moulay Ismail High School in Meknes. What kept me attracted to his personality was his extraordinary ability to invest in three areas: thinking, people and stone. He succeeded in all, and was the founder of the Alawite state (while his brother, Mawla al-Rashid, was the guide). He is credited with preventing the annexation of Morocco by the Ottoman Empire, as well as the liberation of the country’s borders on the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts from the Iberian occupation; It is in addition to his difficult ability to defeat his fierce opponents, such as his cousin Ibn Mahrez, Al-Khidr Ghaylan, Awlad Al-Taqsis, Muhammad Al-Alam, the Daliyah Zawiya and the Sanhaja of the Middle Atlas, as well as the elite of Fez rejecting the establishment of an Alawite state (as we show in a specific article).

During his long reign (half a century) Mawla Ismail persisted in enforcing security on his country. Which, according to historians’ testimonies, led to a revival of commercial and economic activity, as well as to the acquisition of conditions of immunity for the Turks and the great European countries of that era. This was done only for him because he brought about a fundamental and decisive change in the military formation and his striking power, which enabled him to undermine or at least weaken the role of Arab and barbaric fanaticism in state life. want to say. to undermine the reasons for his hegemony and his permanent promises.

This great historical shift undertaken by the Sultan was accomplished by his creation of an army of slaves, whether or not their promotion was proved, by liberation and ransom. The lawyers of Fez asked about the creation of that army, and most of them opposed keeping Fez on his possession slaves, but he challenged them and ordered the registration of the freed slaves in the offices until he one of them collected. one hundred and fifty thousand professional soldiers who disobey except on the orders of the Sultan and their leader, except for any nervousness and an oath in Sahih Al-Bukhari. Ismail was fully aware of the validity of the connotations of its new policy and its objectives to protect Morocco and strengthen its qualifications and energy.

As for the construction of the narrative novel, I found no other option than to assume the pronoun of the speaker in the space to inform me about the personality of the Sultan, his language, his era and his geography, which required me to make a strenuous effort to embody a wide depth and scope and scope. The work as a whole is just as thorny as it is interesting. The following text can give an example of this. This is because the novelist Margaret Yoursnar excelled at making that choice and demonstrating its merits in her great novel, Memoirs of Adrian, and this is what she did in several ways in my novels, The Crazy Judge and This Andalusian! And the sign, and to some extent the flower of ignorance ..

In the chapter on marriage, I follow the example of our Messenger, Al-Amjad, who said in a hadith narrated by Ismail Al-Bukhari in his Sahih: “I fast and break my fast, I pray, I go to bed, and I marry women, so whoever deviates from my Sunnah is not from me. ” And in a hadith received by Ibn Sa`d in his layers: “Of your world perfume and women have made precious to me.” And in another narrative, this Sunni addition is “And the comfort of my eyes was made in prayer. It is in addition to an honorable hadith:” I am a man endowed with beauty and given of him to me what you see. “And all the mistresses of my female wives, forget them and do right among them as much as I can. Among my fortunes that I have fallen in love with is a blessed Aisha, the Barbushiya of Mercy, this graceful woman. When she spares me every morning, she embraces me in her wide bosom, so that she gives me warm, clear blows as if she were from the spirit of the highest paradise. And it is to me like a divine gift and a precious soul, if I take it from me, it will be drawn to me, and I will cast it out of desire, and it will be more generous to me than it is, it is rather more trustworthy and sweeter, and all praise comes to God then, when the Almighty said, “They are clothes for you and you are clothes for them.”

Aisha, my free and touching wife, is a large, grand woman, whose three dimensions of length, breadth, and depth are consistent and continuous, as she walks, props, and moves the wind beneath her, and as she sits, the space around her is covered with exploratory and penetrating looks; A woman of brilliance in intelligence, very brave, strong and flexible. Women fear it and men fear it. I have always consulted her and asked for advice and have been biased towards her regarding various thorny issues and other major issues, so she never disappoints me, and she only shows me what relieves, benefits and satisfies me. Sometimes, when something was disobedient, I entrusted it to my mind, describing it as correct, and to God, the All-Knowing, the All-Knowing.

One night I had severe insomnia, followed by trembling naps, in which my good brother apparently prayed for me in Yemen and success. A soft drowsiness came over me, which was only stopped by the warning of two maids, a ruby and a coral tweeting in their sweet, melodic voice: “Glory to God. The dawn prayer has come, my lord.” And when they realized that I did not pay attention to them and did not answer, they rushed to their master, Aisha, my wife, and told her the news. My head and my limbs swung. He died and left me with very difficult thorny tasks, and I see myself unable to carry it out as God wills and accept my brother’s pure soul. If I were excused from her pregnancy, it would be more correct and more comfortable for me.

The lady of the sanctuary knew that my rise would not really be possible except by hearing memorable verses recited by a young Bukhari named Zuhair Al-Hilali, and God gave him a loud, melodic voice. This Ayy was among many others that made my eyes water and my beard wet.

The honorable woman stared at me with strange sharp looks that made me gather my strength and get up looking to wash my limbs and renew my light to do the dawn prayer alone, then my eyebrows Marjan came to me and offered me what I chose from the clothes in the closet, so he helped me carry the farji, the kaftan and the Hayek and turned my head around and drew my sword. Then the honorable woman came and smeared mastic on me with old mastic, then her shoes put me on and said: We are all sad about the passing of the Good Lord, and our sympathy is one. But the ages are in the hands of God, to whom the look back and the future are. And today, with God, no one will do the affairs of this nation and its people except you, oh, the one with an extended soul, to the highest ranks and the highest ranks. Your firm faith in the One who has the Most Beautiful Names, your most powerful weapon, strengthens your skin and overcomes trials and tribulations. I am behind you with support, encouragement and advice for as long as I live. So stand up to what your Lord and your guardian have commanded you to do, so obey and respond.

This Ayy was among many others that made my eyes water and my beard wet. And we will confirm them in the land, and shew them Pharaoh and Haman and their armies, which they have warned …

How gallant he is, loves to visit desert cities and their beautifully illuminated landscapes. How not and Shalmasa my hometown and incubator of my upbringing and my upbringing. This is Sijilmasa, the meeting point of the convoys of supplies and food, the revival of kinship ties and the renewal of the ties of Islam with our brothers in religion coming from the borders and depths of Sudan.

And the desert, as we know, is, in addition to what I have mentioned, the cradle of the monotheistic religions in the East, the origin of the most important lands and the origin of the good saints and lords in the blessed Maghreb lands.

During my tenure over Meknesah and Fez, I sometimes traveled with my honorable wife Aisha or on my own to Sijilmasa and other cities from Filalah. And on my travels I have other goals, the most precious and important of which is to find a woman of high determination and strength, her name is shemale, bright in brown, Haura, easy to choose, meek and lukewarm. And enchanted hearts and hearts.

I knew the suitors were flocking to her parents’ door, one of the last of them was a man of rank and wealth, but as he told me, he turned on his heels because he told her father , the master of forgiveness and their dragonfly: I have come, old man, desiring to save your daughter. The belief that God Almighty created the male and the female from one soul, and that women, as in an honorable hadith , men’s sisters are, so it is not permissible to bring them down to the status of merchandise, and it is not reasonable to do so and is not worthy of a sense and meaning. And it so happened that Al-Ghada Khenathi, who calls her people a wise jurist, addressed that subject and was good with it and helpful, as in other issues carried out in the legal policy, whether in the company of clever, pious women, and even before virtuous, pious men.

Khenathi bint Al-Sheikh Bakkar, who was in the prime of life when some of the tribe’s youth and gray hair flirted with her, hid their exaggeration and extreme infatuation. Sometimes it is nothing but coincidences and coincidences, or of the type of firasah of the believer.

And this amazing beauty, as I was told, excelled in the Ghadrah dance, with her black veil, and behind her was the ring of chanters, drummers and cheerleaders. And when she performed the dance in celebration of my feet, the eyes of men, including me, and even women, were caught by it, and I calculated that it – by God – touches the ground with the soles of my feet and a gentle breeze moves under it, as if to fly, then spreads his arms loose, hands and fingers as if it were, on impact Tones and sounds adorn the space with interesting signs, tilting his soft edges to the right and left and forward and backward, while the incense burners spit out musk, amber and the moonlight, and the vases from which the audience receives sprinkles of pure and refreshing rose water.Without her shemale splendor and her glorious mastery.

Among her sung sayings included in the literature of Hassani donation: During my dreaming dreams, the knight of my dreams often appears to me, a healthy body and a beautiful soul, and a source of love and happiness. And last night he gave me a narcissistic rose, the sleeves of which are light on light and a crystal mirror, and through kissing and tenderness he poured me out, and about the picnic of souls, he told me, and of love and safety in the extent of the desert plains and its food mixed between gentle winds and other storm heat, as well as over its inhabitants, people and animals ..
