The minister stressed that the electronic signature is the cornerstone for building a digital Egypt. He pointed out that the electronic signature has faced many challenges since its inception in Egypt in 2004 with the issuance of its own law; He explained the efforts to develop the electronic signature system within the framework of three phases, namely the stage of development of the legislative structure, then the updating of the technological infrastructure, then the publication stage, followed by the development of applications based on electronic signature technology and make it available to citizens in easy ways.

It came on the sidelines of the launch ceremony for the electronic signature services “My Signature”, which is the result of a joint collaboration between Fixed Egypt – for digital solutions and information security – licensed to provide electronic signature services, and Etisalat Misr, the integrated digital operator for communication and information technology services in Egypt.

It comes within the framework of the efforts made to expand the provision of electronic signature services and additional services provided to companies, institutions and individuals, which is in line with the state’s direction around the basic axes that the digital transformation strategy support, to complete.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Mahmoud Tawfik, managing director of Fixed Egypt, and Eng. Hazem Metwally, CEO of Etisalat Egypt, in the presence of Eng.
