Cairo, Egypt, 12 May 2022: The “Visa Everywhere” (VEI) initiative announced the first three winners of its edition presented by Egypt at the end of its event, held at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza, and “My Association” announced the first won place and won cash. prize of £ 500 000. Second place was also won by “ZealPay” company and received a cash prize of 350,000 Egyptian pounds, while the “Association” company won third place to receive a cash prize of 250,000 Egyptian pounds, in addition to opportunities to work together with a reputable global brand like Visa.
And as the support of companies building and developing solutions to support the smooth movement of funds everywhere is a top priority for Visa, it launched the global “Visa Everywhere” initiative in Egypt for the first time in partnership with Fintech Egypt Center, an initiative of The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is to give Egyptian FinTech innovators the opportunity to meet and compete globally with prestigious start-ups and FinTech innovators worldwide.
The “Visa Everywhere” initiative saw a huge turnout in Egypt, as it received 270 applications that included prominent names of beginners, and 20 of them were shortlisted, ending with five companies participating in the finals has.
“Visa Everywhere” is one of several initiatives launched by Visa in collaboration with the Financial Technology Center of the Central Bank of Egypt as part of its plans to develop the financial ecosystem on a larger scale, encouraging the acceptance of digital payments and improve consumer education efforts across the region.
The “Visa Everywhere” initiative is a global innovation program open to all, inviting beginners in the field of financial technology and payments to showcase their innovative products and solutions, while finalists will have the opportunity to share knowledge make with representatives of major financial technology stakeholders. in the banking, investment and retail sectors and government sectors.
