Mercedes-Benz is ready to enter the top market segments strongly in the world of all-electric vehicles, with the launch of the EQS Sedan and EQE Sedan, followed by the EQS SUV.
It is the third model in a series of electric cars with fully developed engineering, according to the Auto World website.
Inside “EQS SUV”
The premium SUV interior offers plenty of space and comfort for up to seven occupants. Thanks to its powerful electric motors, 4MATIC four-wheel drive and intelligent off-road mode, the EQS SUV can easily tackle lighter terrain.
The new EQS SUV shares a long wheelbase (3,210 mm) with the EQS Sedan, with a net height of 20 cm for the latest model. Dimensional details include: 5125/1959/1718 mm (L / W / H).
The interior dimensions of the two cars are built according to the SUV concept, and their electric platform has all the specialized design specifications.
The second row of seats can be electrically and as standard adjusted. The luggage compartment has an estimated capacity of four golf bags. The third row seats are equipped with two additional single seats with adjustable comfort and width for all passengers.

All EQS sport utility vehicles have an electric propulsion system (eATS) installed at the rear axle, while it is placed on the models equipped with 4MATIC at the front axle.
The torque shifting feature of the 4MATIC models ensures an intelligent and coordinated distribution between the front and rear electric motors and thus uses the most efficient eATS system in every situation. The front and rear axle electric motors (PSM) also incorporate design features that are highly efficient and stable.
The EQS is the first Mercedes-Benz to enable the brand new car’s features in multiple regions by using over-the-air (OTA) upgrades. This feature was largely developed by Mercedes-Benz in the EQS SUV. Trailer Maneuvering Assist and MBUX, for example, can be activated to activate augmented reality navigation at a later time.
Mercedes-Benz versions equipped with the 4MATIC feature feature an additional off-road mode. In addition, the rear-wheel steering wheel with a steering angle of up to 4.5 degrees offers standard maneuverability and agility on the ground. In addition to an optional 10-degree steering angle, it is equipped with an automatic update service (OTA).
Accident safety
Like all other Mercedes-Benz versions, integrated safety features, especially accident safety, are added separately to the platform. The EQS sport utility vehicle also includes a sturdy passenger compartment, special deformation zones and modern holding systems. The European version of the car is the first Mercedes-Benz model to be equipped with the function of checking the emptiness of the rear seats.
If the rear passenger seat does not wear a seat belt, the driver receives a specific warning. Another new feature in Mercedes-Benz is what is known as the passenger warning system, which indicates the presence of children who may have been left in the back of the car. Versions for Europe, Australia and New Zealand have introduced this feature.
Shipping Systems
Mercedes me Charge is one of the largest electric charging networks worldwide: it currently has more than 700,000 AC and DC charging points, of which about 300,000 are in Europe alone. Mercedes-Benz has been guaranteeing customers in Europe since 2021 to provide their vehicles with sustainable electric charging. High quality guarantees of origin ensure sustainable electrical power supply by using renewable energy in the network. The new Plug & Charge service allows you to charge the EQS SUV at public charging stations that support this service.
The navigation system uses electrical intelligence to estimate the fastest and most convenient route, including charging stations, based on many factors and for example dynamic response to traffic jams or change of driving style. The MBUX information entertainment system makes suggestions to see if the battery condition is sufficient to return to the starting point without charging. Preference is given to charging stations along the route that are added manually in the distance calculation. Proposed charging stations can be excluded and the calculation of charging costs for each charging station is estimated separately.
ENERGISING AIR CONTROL Plus reflects Mercedes-Benz’s comprehensive vision for air quality in the EQS SUV, using filters, sensors, ejection system and air conditioning. A high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter has an extremely high filtration level to capture fine dust particles, pollen and other substances that escape with the outside air.
The MBUX Smart Screen provides its users with details and suggestions on all the information, entertainment, convenience and safety features in the car. The applications that are most relevant and relevant to the current situation and context are clearly displayed via the “Zero Layr” function.
One of the most important equipment of the interior is the “MBUX” smart magnifying screen (special equipment). This large curved screen unit extends roughly from the A-pillar to the A-column. There are three integrated screens under the common glass lid. The 12.3-inch OLED screen provides the front passenger with their own display and control area. In versions for Europe and other countries, the front seat passenger can also monitor dynamic content while the vehicle is in motion. Use a camera equipped with a smart locking system: When the camera detects a driver sniffing at the passenger screen, the system automatically dims the dynamic content.
