The new S family of Continental GT and GTC models – even more differentiation …

(MENAFN- Performance Communications) Middle East, 8 June 2022 – Bentley introduces even more contrast and depth to its Continental GT family, with the launch of the new S-Series emphasizing driving performance and visual appeal. By adopting a wide range of improvements to the exterior design, interior specifications and the dynamic drive system, the new S-Series renews Bentley’s general prescription for high-performance luxury driving to focus more on driving pleasure – a confirmation opposite, but in addition to the concept of luxury behind the wheel (Wellbeing behind the Wheel) on which the latest launch of the comfort-centric Azure suite is based.

Owners of Bentley two-door models have long appreciated the depth and variety of options available to them, from the phenomenal performance of the 6.0-liter W12 engine in the Continental GT Speed to the cadence of the 4.0-liter V8 engine in the Continental GT. And now, with the advent of the S family of Continental GT and Continental GTC models, owners can emphasize the sporty character of the Bentley Continental GT 4.0-liter V8, thanks to a range of performance-focused design and engineering.

Dexterity and fun to drive
The new S-Series retains the 542 hp (550 hp) 4.0-liter V8 engine with 770 Nm of torque, which has become very popular with customers around the world. It enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h (62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds. For the S family of GT and GTC, the engine has been improved with a sports exhaust system as standard to increase the roar of the V8.

The powerful 4.0-liter V8 engine with a swivel advantage gives the lighter weight Continental GT S models a responsive and agile character, further enhanced by the Bentley Dynamic Ride – the advanced 48-volt electrically active roll control system first from Bentley. . The generators inside the anti-roll bars deliver up to 1,300 Nm of torque in 0.3 seconds and effectively compensate for torque to reduce bake roll during hard turns, while at the same time improving ride comfort at cross speeds by disengaging left and right wheels.

Exterior design: assertive and purposeful
From the glossy black radiator grille and other glossy black finish, to the distinctive S badge on the front fenders, the new S models make an immediate, dramatic impact. The headlights and taillights are dimmed, while all the exterior equipment is specified in glossy black – except for the Bentley wing badge and letters that remain in high-gloss chrome. The wing in glossy black is based on the dark exterior. The effect of these features is therefore dramatic, giving the GT and GT S an even more solemn attitude, regardless of the endless choice of exterior colors that accompany them.

The S package comes with the option of brand new 22-inch wheels, with five Y-spoke wheels painted glossy black and also available in the new Pale Brodgar Satin Satin Light Brown. The red brake calipers shine behind the wheels for the perfect sporty contrast.

A second wheel option for the S models is a 21-inch three-spoke design that combines glossy black and machine-cut accents, which are also unique to the S models.

Among the exterior finishes are S badges on the front fenders, square exhaust points (in black, of course) and black window sill extensions as featured on the Continental GT Speed.

Interior design: Sensual, dramatic and personal
A dynamic and purposeful exterior design complements a striking, performance-focused interior, with a two-tone color separation pattern specific to the S models.

Going back in history to the early days of Bentley cars, competitors at Brooklands and Le Mans would have wired the steering wheels for a more comfortable and stable grip. But today, Bentley drivers with a passion for sporty driving are getting more attention, with Dinamica’s suede-like features ideal for the steering wheels, gearshift knobs, seat cushions and backrests of the Continental GT and GTC’s S family. Leather upholstery is used for the seat pillars and door inserts, as well as for the dashboard and around the console. The combination of Dinamica and Bentley’s incomparable leather upholstery creates an interior that offers a sensual contrast between the soft finish and the subtle, luxurious finish of the Dinamica liver.

As for the dashboard, it also carries sporty style through performance-centered graphics like the Continental GT Speed. The bright S-style seats are grooved with stitching as an option, while S-logo stitching appears on the headrests of each seat; Embroidered Bentley wings are an alternative at no extra cost. Finishing includes an exclusive metal S badge on the front and illuminated Bentley sill plates with the S badge replacing the Bentley Motors Ltd nameplate.
