The Director of the Islamic Cultural Center at the University of Jordan, dr. Mahmoud Shdeifat, said that the center carried out many activities that contributed to the benefit of the local and external community.

He pointed out that these contributions are divided into three axes, the first of which is to strengthen the courses and activities carried out by the center through cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Saints in all areas, for the purposes of the organization the teaching and training process and activities at the center, and the holding of rehabilitation courses for volunteer teachers in collaboration with the General Iftaa Department, and the establishment of a program for the center’s courses by Teams instead of the zoom program, in collaboration with the Information Technology Center and King Abdullah II College of Information Technology at the University of Jordan.

Study plans have also been prepared for all training courses at the center, where the number of courses for university students and the local community reached (36) courses in Sharia sciences and (37) courses in the levels of presentation and intonation, during the second semester 2021 / 2022, noting that it will be prepared for detailed statistics upon completion.

Of all the courses held by the Center during the first semester of 2021/2022, (276) were male and female students, in addition to (235) female students from the State of Palestine, and (76) female students from the State of Kyrgyzstan and the Islamic State. Republics through the zoom program, and the number of students certified In the Holy Quran, in one of the ten lectures during the first semester (80) female students. As for the statistics of the second semester, it will be completed when the courses currently offered are completed.

The center held many activities, including lectures, lessons, cultural weeks, radio programs broadcast on the Radio of the University of Jordan and the Radio Academy of the Arabic Language.

As for the second axis, according to Shdeifat, it was represented by activities, lessons and lectures held at the university mosque, where rhetorical affairs were arranged on Friday in collaboration with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Shrines, and weekly and daily lessons were held in preaching and family guidance during dawn, noon and afternoon prayers, and training courses for men at different levels The presentation and presentation, and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr took place under the protection of the president of the university, and the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday was held under the auspices of the Minister of Donations, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places.

On the third axis, Shdeifat added that it is related to the activation of the role of the Islamic Cultural Center in providing support to poor students and students of Islamic peoples, through the fees of stumbling students and people with special needs of the Jordanian Student Fund and the poor students of Islamic peoples, where the amount of unpaid Jordanian student fees was spent and up to a higher limit (300) dinars, and the amount of unpaid Islamic peoples student fees amounted to a maximum of (350) dinars, and (116) students benefited from the Jordanian Students’ Fund, and (56) students benefited from the Islamic Peoples’ Students’ Fund, in addition to holding Ramadan breakfasts for people’s Islamic students.

Shdeifat pointed out that there are four closed boxes for donations in the university mosque, which are opened by a committee set up for these purposes, and then the cash is deposited in the boxes in the Islamic Cultural Center’s donation trust account held by the Voluntary is affiliated.
