Siemens has partnered with the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) to reduce costs and reduce carbon emissions, which translates the savings into the education of the next generation of leaders.

Siemens is modifying HVAC, lighting and hot water systems in 19 AURAK buildings, as well as installing water conservation equipment and advanced energy controls. .

Siemens plans to process four phases of the AURAK Decarbonization Roadmap. The first is to reduce consumption over the scope of this project. The next phases will include on-site energy production using renewable energy technology, switching to electrical sources and carbon offsets.

The contract for the Energy Performance Project, which will be completed before the end of this year, is expected to reduce AURAK’s electricity consumption by 1.7 million kilowatt hours, water by 1.8 million imperial liters, and carbon emissions by 700 metric tons, per year. . , equivalent to planting more than 11,000 trees over 10 years.
