The Ministers of Youth and Higher Education and the President of the Arab Academy of Sciences testify to the closing ceremony to announce the awards of the Rally Egypt Entrepreneurship Competition 2022

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sport, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, holds the closing ceremony of the award ceremony for the 2022 Egypt Rally Entrepreneurship Competition, organized by the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport With the participation of university youth of different governors of the Republic, coinciding with the celebrations of the Arab Youth Day and the International Youth Skills Day, and coinciding with the celebration of the Golden Jubilee and the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Academy.

The events were attended by a number of university presidents, experts and specialists in the field of entrepreneurship, Ambassador Elias Sheikh Omar Abu Bakr, Ambassador of Somalia to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, dr. Youth and sports.

In turn, the Minister of Youth and Sports emphasized that the organization of this event in the new city of El Alamein, one of the smart cities in the new republic, is in line with the comprehensive development and development undertaken by the Arab Republic of Egypt seen under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who believes in the abilities of Egyptian youth, and always strives to develop their skills, training, education and unleashing their energy and creative skills in an evolving and changing world.

Sobhi pointed out that the issue of employment and the provision of decent jobs is one of the issues of top priority for the youth, which is mainly related to factors that provide the technical skills required by the labor market, in addition to the volume of investments in labor intensive projects that provide an appropriate volume of jobs and opportunities.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi pointed out that the dimensions of the youth axis, participation in the economy and entrepreneurship, in the light of the issue of youth service focus in a broader and more comprehensive way, expand to discuss the participation of young people in the Egyptian economy in all its dimensions, from providing decent jobs and jobs to enabling young people to start small, medium and micro enterprises in various economic sectors, to providing funding in various ways, the necessary technical and management support for these projects and provide a supportive climate for entrepreneurship, emerging projects and self-employment by providing innovative and integrated interventions and uniting national and community efforts in this regard, and sustainable and comprehensive economic growth can drive progress and create decent jobs for all and improve living standards for young people, which is what the Global Goals for Sustainable Development target.

The Minister of Youth expressed his congratulations on cooperating with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in various fields at the youth and sports level, in particular the fruitful and constructive cooperation in the preparation of the National Strategy for Youth and the youth (2022-2027), presented for community dialogue in various governorships of the Republic with various segments of society Youth and youth, pointing out that this strategy is a roadmap for the next five years to meet the needs and requirements of Egyptian youth and youth, to integrate them into the development process, which includes eight main axes, the most important of which is the youth axis, participation in the economy and entrepreneurship.

Sobhi added that the aim of the national strategy for youth and youth is to stimulate a supportive climate for youth participation in the national economy, by developing an environment for youth entrepreneurship, stimulating the creation of decent jobs for youth and to spread a culture of self. employment, increasing knowledge and education about the concept of financial inclusion, and the importance of culture Finance and savings among young people.

Sobhi concluded his speech by the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, led by dr. In his speech, dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar expressed his congratulations on taking part in the closing of the activities of the Egyptian Entrepreneurship Rally Competition for 2022, which will witness the participation of 15 Egyptian universities, international, Arab and local institutions and institutions, and a number of representatives of the entrepreneurship community in Egypt, thanks to the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Transport. Al-Bahri for organizing these events and the efforts made to make the competition a success, in collaboration with the National Bank of Egypt, and congratulating the winning youth and winning companies and wishing them success.

The Minister of Higher Education indicated that the past five issues of the Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally competitions have contributed to the launch of more than 500 entrepreneurial projects, and provided support to more than 5,000 young entrepreneurs, noting that about 2,000 students participated in the current issue, and they submitted more than 1,800 projects 150 projects were accepted, including in very important areas (technology, tourism, supply chains), as well as start-ups with the aim of qualifying companies to meet investors and the necessary financing through support programs provided by industry experts and entrepreneurship support organizations, which explains that the final stage It has seen the qualification of 70 undergraduate projects and 16 beginners.
