Doha: Doha University of Science and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding with Mowasalat (Karwa) during a meeting that brought the two parties together on the university campus in the presence of Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, President of Doha University of Science and Technology, and Mr. Fahad Saad Al-Qahtani, CEO of Mowasalat (Karwa), in addition to members of the academic and administrative body and representatives from both sides.
This memorandum contributes to the establishment of a framework for the existing cooperation between the two parties and for the joint projects that will be implemented, including the work on research and development studies, especially in the field of traffic safety and technology. Doha University of Science and Technology will exchange experiences and vocational training with Mowasalat (Karwa) company, especially those related to health, safety and environment, which is based on the principle of training the trainers. The Mowasalat Company (Karwa) will also offer Doha University of Science and Technology students the opportunity to continue their education at its headquarters and will support its graduates with employment opportunities. Based on this agreement, Mowasalat (Karwa) will participate in the university’s career fair, and the two parties will collaborate on a number of events and awareness campaigns that raise awareness of road safety, including the Road Safety Week and the Mawater event in collaboration with students, in addition to events that highlight technological development, including the skills competition at the Doha University of Science and Technology is the largest curricular event during the academic year. The two parties will share their experiences and benefit from this cooperation to develop the operational aspects of transport.
