The Minister began by holding an extensive meeting with the Governor, which was attended by the executive leaders in Minya Governorate and the leaders of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology at the Governor’s general office. During that time, they reviewed the latest work developments in communication, information technology and postal projects, digital capacity building and digital transformation, and discussed the latest developments in the Ministry’s projects in “a decent life” villages.
Dr. Amr Talaat praised the fruitful collaboration between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Minya Governor to support digital transformation efforts in the governorate, noting that Minya Governor sees a digital renaissance and commitment to all digital Egypt axes, which he confirmed possession of clear capabilities and frameworks that need to be invested and developed.
He pointed out that the people of Minya governorate are the first to work in projects to lay fiber optic cables in the governorate; Where he aimed to increase the number of trainees in the fiber optic network programs offered by the National Telecommunications Institute, and provide job opportunities to graduates of these programs to join the project of developing communication infrastructure and the maintenance and management of fiber optic cables provided by Telecom Egypt in the villages of a decent life in Minya Governorate.

Training programs are implemented at the National Telecommunications Institute branch of the Digital Egypt Creativity Center in Minya Governorate, with the possibility of implementing some courses through interactive distance learning.
The protocol also includes the provision of technical consultations in the field of geographic information systems, training of youth cadres in the field of infrastructure, information systems and digital transformation, as well as the support and development of technical cadres of local workers by qualifying them in the field of networks and cyber security, in addition to eligible recruits from Minya Governor for the job market in The field of communication and information technology.

Engineer Amr Mahfouz, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Authority, indicated that more than 2,600 young people have been trained in the programs offered by the authority in the Digital Egypt Innovation Center in Minya. In addition, 70 start-up companies at all stages were incubated, including those that succeeded in obtaining investments.
Dr. Heba Saleh, Director of the Information Technology Institute, explained that more than 2,000 young people have been trained in the institute’s programs at the Digital Egypt Innovation Center in Minya, and that young people have enrolled in programs to develop self-employment skills, earning returns through freelance platforms with about 26 thousand dollars, before they graduated from the award.
