Sudan’s revolution and the digital revolution

Industrial revolutions are defined as new scientific and technological breakthroughs and innovative ways of seeing and dealing with the world around us, leading to a profound change in the economic and social dimensions in favor of the improvement of human life, in addition to the development of philosophical concepts and generalizations.
It is well known that the scientific revolution in the first half of the nineteenth century, through the discoveries of the law of survival of matter and motion, the law of energy transformation, the cellular theory and Darwinian theory, in addition to the discoveries of other natural sciences, struck a blow at the simplistic concepts prevalent at the time, saying that the world had not changed since its existence and that nothing in nature changes or is reborn. Those lightning bolts were the necessary prelude to the emergence of the festival of philosophical ideas, including Marxist philosophy. History records the occurrence of four industrial revolutions, and historians have agreed that they changed the course of people’s lives and contributed to changing the facts of human civilization. The details of these four revolutions can be found by any interested person in the Asphirian websites or in any of the other sources that chronicle the development of human society, bearing in mind that the industrial revolutions are not only history, but present and future.
What concerns us in this article is the digital revolution that broke out with the explosion of the Third Industrial Revolution in the eighties of the last century, which paved the way for developments in the use of computers, the Internet and ICT applications, and then evolved with the explosion of the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the beginning of the new millennium, which gave birth to the integration of technologies that blur the lines between the physical, digital and biological domains. With the explosion of the digital revolution, the process of communication between people, the transfer of knowledge and the exchange of information showed a great leap through the circulation of information between large numbers of people connected to each other through Facebook, WhatsApp or others media, which also act as media platforms, and the concepts of communication between governments and people have changed, as information is no longer the preserve of governments or security agencies, and governments are no longer the only ones capable of ideas, thoughts control and dominate. and hearts. The digital revolution has reduced the regimes’ ability to paralyze movement with arrests, while at the same time breaking the elite mentality of opposition action, creating virtual arenas and organizations to expand the horizons of political action, which can be translated into a miraculous force on the ground to bring about change.

The media pioneers did not pay attention to the fact that how to choose the prime minister, not his name, on what constitutional basis he will be chosen and his government, and what program this government will implement, is the main dilemma in the current crisis

But the instruments of the communication and information revolution will remain mere deaf and blind machines if they are not managed by effective minds that improve the reading of reality and its transformations, and translate its data into innovative initiatives on all political, economic, cultural and social areas do not. On the other side of the matter, the digital revolution came with new concepts that include electronic espionage and network penetration between individuals and countries, in addition to giving birth to many negative, and sometimes dangerous, phenomena at the individual level such as fraud, identity theft, privacy penetration and violation of public and private rights, crimes against Users, cyberbullying, impersonation, counterfeiting and character assassination attempts. At the social level, just as the digital revolution and its means of social communication played an important and essential role in the outbreak and victory of the popular movement in many countries, such as the Arab Spring revolutions and the December revolution in Sudan, counter-revolutionary circles use them to brake or penetrate the path of change and liquidate its revolutionary content. Especially during the twists and sharp social conflicts that always break out after the completion of the first phase of change, i.e. the overthrow of the previous regime, and the beginning of the implementation of the slogans and programs of the revolution. In Sudan, and in light of the serious crisis engulfing our country today to the point of suffocation, counter-revolutionary circles within the country, as well as foreign intelligence services disturbed by change in Sudan, seek to build accounts and digitally. platforms with false names through which destructive ideas, rumors and lies are transmitted, and they attempt to assassinate the personalities of leaders The people’s movement and the influential national leaders politically and socially and accept the goals of the revolution.
If the activity of counter-revolutionary circles and hostile foreign intelligence through social media is understandable, justified and expected, then the biggest mistake that causes great damage is our unconscious, sometimes naive, handling of the content of this media. For example, the media often bring news or information of dangerous proportions, but without referring to a specific source and only the phrase “reliable sources report” or “circulating in political circles” or “breaking news…”, and we read the news focusing on its content, not interested in the absence of its source. And we make arguments that distract us from what is most important, while the news is either fabricated or poison hidden in honey, or serves the purposes of one party or another. For example, take the news spread in the media and carry nominations of names to take over the premiership. In the news there is no source attributed to him, and the only thing found is “our sources learned” or “the news reports…”! It is known that until this moment there was no consensus on the nature and composition of the party that will choose the prime minister, yet our unconscious interaction with the media news turned to discussions and analyzes about the names of the nominated personalities, which possibly came as a result of desires and dreams of media pioneers, or are just test balloons Of certain parties, or its purpose is to burn some of them, as long as the nominated party is not named and interpretation is easy here. The media pioneers did not pay attention to the fact that how to choose the prime minister, not his name, on what constitutional basis he will be chosen and his government, and what program this government will implement, is the main dilemma in the current crisis . As for the shortening of this crisis in the name of the prime minister without liquidating its essence represented in the repercussions and procedures of the coup of the twenty-fifth of October 2021, and before any new political agreement and ‘ n a new constitutional document, it is a disregard for the revolution and an underestimation of the value of the sacrifice of its martyrs, and practically it will not achieve any stability, On the contrary, the crisis will become more suffocating.
