The recent period has seen the political leadership’s interest in public health through many initiatives in this area, such as the initiative to end the waiting lists, the 100 million health initiative, as well as the women’s health initiative and the initiative for early detection of the health status of children and school students, all of which had a positive effect on promoting the health level of the citizen, and reducing the negative effects of the Corona pandemic that the world has been exposed to since the end of 2019.

In this context, the agency did a lot of preparatory and field work to ensure compliance with international standards and quality of work, which included the preparation of forms in accordance with the objectives of the survey and the needs of all stakeholders and their approval by the technical committee, as well as the determination of the size of the basic sample for the survey and its distribution in accordance with scientific standards and allow to obtain estimates of indicators at the level The national, different regions and governorates, while at the same time the consistency of the applied methodologies with those used in the previous series of population health surveys to facilitate comparisons between results.

This survey is conducted for the first time with purely national funding, and it was implemented using the latest information technology to collect data by tablet and send it directly to the databases of the device.
