Best Bluetooth Keyboards in 2022

Standard wireless keyboards help eliminate desk clutter, but require a USB radio receiver connected to the computer. Bluetooth keyboards don’t need the receiver at all, they can also control your tablet, phone or smart TV.

The best Bluetooth keyboard balances wireless portability with ergonomic keys and a smooth typing experience—all without breaking the bank. However, Bluetooth connections can cause delays. PC gamers will end up spending significantly more to find a Bluetooth keyboard that doesn’t have noticeable input lag.

“Wireless keyboards tend to be more popular with business people for their ease of use and clean aesthetics, while more intense users may prefer other features and a lower price tag,” says Tom Gilmore, technology education coordinator at Free Geek. Less “If response time is a concern (such as gaming), we suggest avoiding Bluetooth keyboards and sticking with the wire unless you opt for the high-end wireless options.”

While not the best for gaming, Bluetooth keyboards are perfect for anything from writing a novel on a tablet to browsing Netflix on a smart TV. We researched options in several different categories based on expert guidance and personal experience, then spent weeks tapping into nine of the top-rated Bluetooth keyboards here’s what we found.

Best overall bluetooth keyboard

The Logitech MX Keys is a full-size Bluetooth keyboard that is versatile enough for many different uses and platforms, including both Windows and Mac.

  • Keyboard size: full size
  • Key type: scissor key with rounded notch
  • Backlight: Yes, white
  • Battery life: 10 days
  • Additional features: Macro keys and additional media, up to three devices can be paired

The Logitech MX Keys is a full-size Bluetooth keyboard that’s big enough for desktop use, but also thin enough for out-of-office typing. It’s a comfortable, well-designed keyboard that feels like it would cost more.

MX Keys uses scissor keys and low-profile keycaps with finger-sized fingerprints for comfortable typing With the all-metal chassis, the keyboard feels like we pulled the keys out of a MacBook and turned them into a full-size keyboard at an ergonomic tilt. A backlight that senses your fingers helps extend battery life, which Logitech says can last up to 10 days.

The MX keys come with stickers for both Windows and Mac devices, but the keyboard also works with iOS and Android. The keyboard can remember three devices, so you can easily switch between your laptop, tablet and smartphone. While the full-size keyboard won’t easily fit into a backpack, the slim design means it will easily move from room to room in your home.

Best Mechanical Bluetooth Keyboard

The Logitech G915 TKL has a satisfying, comfortable feel without being bogged down by limited battery life or bulky size.

  • Keyboard size: without keys
  • Switch Type: GL Touch Screen Low Profile Mechanical Switches
  • Backlight: Yes, custom RGB
  • Battery life: 40 hours
  • Additional features: Shortcuts for clarity and connectivity

The G915 TKL is a mechanical keyboard, but it uses low-key switches and enough battery to last most weeks of work. The keyboard feels like a cross between the thin keys of a MacBook and the thick keys typical of mechanical models. We tested the white key version, which has a nice and soft feel but isn’t terribly loud. Also includes a scroll wheel, dedicated media keys and other macro keys. All of this is housed on a brushed metal construction that looks attractive and feels like it will last.

With a battery life of up to 40 hours, we can use the Logitech G915 TKL for several working days without recharging. We even went on vacation with the keyboard in sleep mode, and it still works after two weeks. Although the 40 hour battery life is not that long compared to membrane keyboards, mechanical keyboards consume a lot of power and some have shorter usage times. The battery life indicator appears right above the keyboard.

Low-profile switches combined with Bluetooth and wireless technology make the G915 TKL a mechanical keyboard that’s portable and more responsive than most devices. The trade-off is that it is expensive. Wired keyboards may offer more for less, but of course they require wire and win. does not work with mobile devices.
