A high-level delegation from Portugal, within the framework of a trade mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is on an official visit to the Kingdom to meet with officials in the Saudi Ministry of Investment with the aim of exploring opportunities discussed to improve bilateral business and trade between the Kingdom and the Republic of Portugal in the wood and home furniture sector.

Vitor Bocas, president of the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP), said: “The Portuguese trade mission is visiting Saudi Arabia with big plans to strengthen bilateral trade relations. We expect that the meeting with key decision makers in the Saudi Ministry of Investment will result in new initiatives and agreements that will advance the aspects of cooperation between the two countries to broader horizons. The Portuguese trade mission aims to take advantage of investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Portugal by strengthening cooperation and developing trade and investment partnerships in the target sector.

His Excellency Mr. Nuno Voltaire Mathias, Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is scheduled to visit the exhibition ‘Interior Design Products Made in Portugal’, organized by ‘Associative Design – Best of Portugal’ at the Hotel Show. .

With the participation of 21 high-end Portuguese brands, the Portuguese Wood and Furniture Industry Association is looking for Portuguese-made furniture and interior design products and brands worldwide, as well as to showcase its capabilities to undertake technologically and aesthetically advanced design projects on a large scale.

Bocas added: “In conjunction with the exhibition, we will showcase a list of high-end furniture brands under the umbrella of ‘Associative Design – The Best of Portugal’ at the Hotel Show in Saudi Arabia. Participating brands will showcase a variety presenting designs that contain beautiful and innovative Portuguese touches that complement the aesthetic concepts of traditional Arab culture. Our visitors will witness a blend of innovation, sustainability and modern designs, as well as showcase exclusive pieces bearing the signatures of their owners.”
