Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo (ERU), announced that the university’s board of trustees, led by dr. The president of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo “ERU” stated that the decision was issued to approve the commencement of studies at the Faculty of Applied Arts at the university, starting from the first semester of the academic year (2022-2023), and that on the occasion of the opening of the college the university announces a 25% discount on the university year (2022) fees -2023).

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi explained that the College of Applied Arts is one of the colleges that keeps pace with the needs of the labor market locally and internationally, and is accepted by students who want to work in the field of design and production technology. related to the disciplines of applied arts, and that to join them requires the student to have a high school diploma. Science, or Sport” or its equivalent, and successfully pass the qualification examination for the faculty. Note that the study at the faculty takes five years with the credit hour system, of which the first year is the preparation year and the four years for specializations in the scientific departments. The faculty includes (7) scientific departments, namely: “Interior design and furniture”, printing and packaging, fashion and clothing, photography, film and television, industrial design and textile engineering.” In addition, other departments will be added in the next phase, including:

Advertisements, iron and metal constructions, metal products and ornaments, ceramics, color and finishing, textile printing, sculpture and architectural molding.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz Hassan, Dean of the College of Applied Arts, holds the following academic degrees:

• Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Arts “Glass Design and Technology” from Helwan University.

• Master of Applied Arts “Glass Art and Design”, from Helwan University.

• Bachelor of Applied Arts “with specialization in glass” 1968.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz has many years of “scientific, technical and applied” experience, which is 45 years, and is listed in the following positions:

• Demonstrator, assistant teacher, teacher, assistant professor, professor of design and former head of the glass department at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University.

• Teaching art, design, glass technology and restoration for the two stages of transportation and bachelor’s degrees, in the Glass Department, Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University.

• Teaching of specialized subjects for the preparatory years for postgraduate study “Masters and Ph.D.”

• Supervision, discussion and arbitration of more than forty-five doctoral and master’s theses “specializing in glass”.

• An advanced experimental glass laboratory established as a production unit of a special “educational, research and production” nature in the Glass Department of the Faculty of Applied Arts at Helwan University.

• An arbitrator member of the scientific committees to promote the positions of professors.

• An arbitrator member of the scientific committees to promote the positions of assistant professors.

• Design and implementation of restoration and maintenance plans for archaeological works of art installed with windows, openings and ceilings of the palaces of the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt “Etihadiya Palace”.

• Design and implementation of plans for the restoration and maintenance of archaeological works of art installed with windows, openings and ceilings of the palaces of the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt “Abdin Palace”.

• Participation with the Engineering Consultancy Unit, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, “Ain Shams University” in the aesthetic and architectural development of the facilities of the train station in Luxor, c.

• Design and implementation of sculptural artistic murals in the main passenger hall of Luxor City Train Station, c.

• Design and implementation of works of art of stained glass and composed of lead for fixed windows in the main passenger hall of the Luxor City Train Station – c.

• Design and implementation of plans for the restoration of a glass artwork for the doors of the People’s Assembly Club building in Cairo.

• Design and implementation of an artwork of glass sculpture installed in the main facade of the Middle East News Agency in Cairo.

• Design and implementation of plans for the restoration and maintenance of a work of art made of stained glass at the British Cultural Center in Cairo.

• Design and implementation of many glass works of art for the purposes of external and internal architecture “architectural openings, windows and doors”.

• Design and implementation of glass works of art for architectural openings in places of worship in Egypt, such as: Church of the Virgin in Dokki, El Mataria Church, and Baron Church.

• Design and execution of an artwork of stained glass, composed of lead, installed with an architectural hole, at the Faculty of Computing and Information, Helwan University.

• Design and execution of many wall art works of “external, internal” mosaic glass.

• Design and implementation of many artistic glass surfaces in the facades of exhibitions and openings in residential buildings in Cairo.
