There were many supervision models for the children of Kafr El-Sheikh Governor, who won awards at the level of the Republic, and in international competitions, the last of which was King Mahmoud Ramadan Abdulaziz, a student at the Children’s University, and in the first preparatory degree at the Martyr Mustafa Samir Badawi Official Language School in Kafr El-Sheikh, 14 years old, she participated in the International Korea Olympiad For the innovations and inventions of young inventors, held via the Internet, due to the conditions of the Corona pandemic, and the girl won the bronze medal, for her invention of a multi-purpose toothbrush.
Malak Mahmoud Ramadan said that the idea started when I was in the fifth grade of primary school, and I was enrolled in the Children’s University, so I designed a project in the field of dentistry, and I chose to replace the traditional toothbrush with a new brush that is in line with the current era concerned with the field of cosmetic dentistry, so I designed three toothbrush designs. The first brush is a double-sided toothbrush, the second brush is an integrated toothbrush for oral and dental care, and the third brush is a smart silicone toothbrush.
Malak added that she participated in the first national conference at the Children’s University in 2019 AD and presented her project at the conference. Dr Yasmine Mohamed, coordinator of scientific programs at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, suggested that a patent be registered is to protect her idea and project, and she has indeed submitted two patent applications and a utility model request to the Academy of Scientific Research. The technology has obtained two patents.
Among her inventions, Malak added a double-sided toothbrush to wash both sides, and a multi-piece toothbrush, including cleaning the tongue and lips, in a cylindrical shape to clean the teeth from bottom to top , and it has threads for cleaning between the teeth, confirming that it is the first to design a lip brush to clean bacteria, and its owner The idea of cleaning the tongue in a rectangular shape.
And Malak continued, he joins the University of the Child from the age of 9, children get used to innovation and invention, through which we study the practical and theoretical side, the theoretical by getting to know the faculties and their departments, while the practical side is the implementation of inventions and their application through simulation in the faculties, and I was able to do Simulation in the Faculty of Dentistry for his project through the Children’s University.
Malak confirmed that she was aware of the international competition, and nominated her academic project attached to the Children’s University, and through the university’s interest in her project, all data about the projects were sent in photos, indicating that she did not expect said that her project won third place worldwide, especially because it is a simple project, and what she noted in The competition looks at the project and not the nationality of its owner, emphasizing that the competition encouraged her to search to raise defects in industries, to develop them, and ask all inventors to lead their peers to search, invent and discover, to develop their talents and help them to show those talents, especially in village schools .
Malak added, since she was young, she heard about dentists, so she fell in love with this profession, and began to think of a new innovation that would serve the profession she loved, and she came up with the idea of to create a toothbrush different from the usual brush, follow-up: There is a brush made of plastic, and it is made to order, because it is related to the nature of a Human jaw costs about 400 dollars, and I was able to produce it , but from silicone, and it costs only 100 pounds.
Malak explained that the brush she made includes 3 types that fit any jaw, and the brush consists of two parts, the lower and the upper, and to manufacture and experiment, she used a dentist and the brush design on a printed. 3D printer, in addition to experimenting in a practical way with what she made of the brush, confirms She invented not only one type of toothbrush, but she invented 3 types of brushes, in addition to a brush for the tongue and lips to clean .
Silicone jaw toothbrush
Malak confirmed that the jaw toothbrush is a brush that takes the shape of the jaw and teeth of silicone due to its flexibility that it fits the shape of the jaw and teeth, in three different sizes “small, medium and large”. which will make its price much cheaper than its price The current one, where the expensive brush currently available in the market is “400 dollars” because it is made by means of a three-dimensional scanner of the shape of the mouth, and it are printed with a three-dimensional printer.
And Malak added that the operation method depends on placing the teeth in the jaw brush, like a dental guard, then the person moves his jaw and teeth up and down, like the chewing and cutting motion of the teeth, and the resulting friction between the teeth and the brush from the inside, with the scalloped bumps from the inside in the design of the brush. This design allows toothpaste or dental cleaning powder to be placed inside the cavity of the jaw brush, ensuring easy movement and maintenance of the gums while cleaning the teeth very easily.
Malak said: As for the second part of the brush, it contains two sides of the brush so that the teeth are cleaned from the top and the left and right without hurting the gums, which will make the toothbrush easy, fast and integrated make , emphasize that the method of use is easy, which is to brush the teeth with that brush in the way of brushing the teeth with an ordinary brush. Only the top, brush and sides will brush the teeth from all sides.
A complete 3-piece oral care toothbrush
Malak added, “As for the integrated toothbrush for oral care, it consists of a brush hand in addition to a push button to change the pieces, a lip brush, since the lips have a large percentage of bacteria, and a cylindrical toothbrush, because the correct cleaning of the teeth is from the bottom up and its shape.” The cylindrical one allows it to take what is between the teeth and throw it out of the gaps between the teeth. There is a tongue brush, which is made in the shape of a large rectangle to accommodate the entire tongue, and there is the floss, which is made of a thin, strong wire so that it would not break.
Malak added that she was able to display her three innovations in many exhibitions interested in new inventions, stressing that what she achieved was thanks to God, then her parents, teachers and those who encouraged her specialists, and noted that she was trained in simulation programs at the Faculty of Dentistry on modern equipment. I also applied the brush I designed to some people at the Faculty of Dentistry, Kafr El-Sheikh.
Malak added that she advises all children to think about the future in a way that matches their inclinations and abilities, and that whoever claims that the child is living his childhood, playing and having fun without innovation and invention, it is a outdated saying, and why aren’t the children of Egypt better than the children of Japan or China who innovate? And they figure it out.
