Emirati Professionals honor the winners of the Best Awards for the 2021-2022 season

The UAE Professional Association honored the winners of the Best Awards for the last sports season 2021-2022, in a special evening, today, Saturday, at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, which is the annual ceremony that is a destination for clubs became stars, seeking excellence and excellence in giving, through which they strive to excel in professional competitions.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Al-Junaibi, President of the Professional League, members of the League’s board of directors, representatives of sponsoring institutions, representatives of clubs, and elite sports and media stars. Al-Junaibi delivered a speech in which he appreciated the support of the wise leadership of sports and athletes, and thanked the strategic partners, sponsors of the Professional League Championships and praised the efforts made by professional clubs.

Al-Junaibi said in his speech: “Thanks to the support of our wise leadership, who always and forever supported and encouraged sports youth, in a way that increases the importance that our leadership, may God preserve it, to sports and athletes bind. We have to thank our strategic partners, the sponsors of the Professional League Championships.

We also highly appreciate the efforts made by the professional clubs, the boards, the administrative, technical and medical bodies, and the players.

Interactive display

The UAE Professional League Awards Ceremony was inaugurated with an interactive show using state-of-the-art three-dimensional hologram technology, about the memories of a football hero, embodying the professional player’s career from childhood to the realization of his dreams in a dramatic framework, takes the audience and viewers through time, to live the moments of challenges, determination, will and perseverance, which made heroes and stars.

This show comes as the first interactive show with 3D hologram technology to be held in a sports forum, and the UAE Professional League was keen to host it in the framework of its pursuit of excellence and leadership. The show was produced by the Professional League and directed by Hassan Abdel Hamid.

Honor sponsors and partners

The show was followed by honoring the sponsors and partners, in appreciation of their effective role in the organization and development of the various competitions organized by the Association.

ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Initiatives of His Highness the President, Emirates Palace, Emirates Airline, Al Naboodah Motors, Rixosonic Hotels, Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, Dubai Sports Channel, Sharjah Sports Channel, and the Emirates Football Association.

And amid the anticipation of the audience in the Emirates Palace Hotel theater, and the masses on television and the association’s accounts on social media platforms, to know the identity of the winners, the announcement came in quick succession.

Association Award Winners

Bandar Al Ahbabi of Al Ain Club won the Golden Ball award for the best Emirati player, and Kodjo Laba of Al Ain Club won the Golden Ball award for the best foreign player. His team won the ADNOC Professional League title, and the player was crowned with the Golden Boot award as the top scorer in the league competition.

Al Ain continued to excel at the awards ceremony, crowning its Ukrainian coach Sergey Rebrov with the Leader’s Award for Best Coach, while Al Ain Club’s Eric Jorginez won the Golden Boy Award for Best Promising Resident or Country-born Player , Khaled Issa, Al Ain’s captain, won the Golden Glove Award for Best Goalkeeper, and the Moroccan won. Al Ain Club’s Sufyan Rahimi won the fans’ choice Best Player award.

Al Ain Club won the highest award for public attendance last season, as part of the “Mass League” initiative, launched by the Professional League, and saw a great interaction from the Emirati football fans.

Hareb Suhail of Shabab Al-Ahly Club won the Golden Boy Award for the best promising Emirati player, while his colleague Guilherme da Silva of Shabab Al-Ahly won the Silver Shoe Award for the top scorer in the U-21 professional won the league.

Al-Jazeera won the award for Excellence in Professionalism and Licensing.

In addition, 3 platforms were awarded with the gold award in the category of digital sports platforms. The Sport4All platform won the first place, the Dorina stand platform the second place and the Al Ain sports platform the third place.

Abdul Rahman Hussein, from the Arab Republic of Egypt, won the award for the best director of the game, Fantasy ADNOC Professional League.

Dream team

The Professional League announced the Dream Team for the 2021-2022 season consisting of: Khaled Issa, Eric Jorginez, Danilo Arboleda, Bandar Al-Ahbabi, Muhammad Abbas, Sufyan Rahimi, Kodjo Laba (Al-Ain), Walid Abbas and Hareb Suhail (Shabab Al-Ahly), Caio Lucas (Sharjah) and Ali Saleh (Al Wasl).

Events area

The UAE Professional League held special activities on the sidelines of the awards ceremony, including an exhibition of the sponsors’ achievements, which included hologram shows, an interactive photography platform that allows guests to take photos with their favorite players in all our league stadiums, in addition to a 360-degree photography platform.

The event area also included the Association Museum, which displayed cups, medals and shields, in addition to collectibles of historical value such as strikers’ boots and champions’ medals from past seasons.

The audience exchanged hearty conversations about football memories at the Pro Café.
