Following its successful and outstanding participation in the famous 1000 Miglia endurance race recently hosted by the United Arab Emirates, the rare XK120 from the “Jaguar Classic” collection will be offered for sale at the “Jaguar Classic Works” center in Coventry in the United Kingdom. Introduced in 1950, the open-top Jaguar XK120 two-seater has earned a place among the legendary certified works, with a cream finish with black and biscuit soft top and red interior.
Preserved over the years and recently meticulously restored and restored, this iconic car has joined the Jaguar Classic collection, previously owned by Stuart Lightfoot, founder member and competition general secretary of the Jaguar Drivers Club, who in June 1956 was established.

The famous 1000 Miglia endurance race in the United Arab Emirates offered open participation to around 100 historic and iconic car owners, including everything related to historic vehicles, Mille Miglia races and contemporary iconic models from the modern era. The event, which included four stages between Dubai and Abu Dhabi and was held from December 4 to 8, was a new celebration of car culture in the region. The famous 1000 Miglia endurance race held in the UAE is the largest classic motorsport event ever held in the Middle East, with participants experiencing an incredible ride in all seven emirates.
The event is divided into three categories, the 1000 Millia (1927-1957) category, which honors the vehicles that participated in the original event, the Golden Jubilee category for cars manufactured up to 1971 (the year the UAE was founded), and the Symbols category Contemporary for modern cars.
In addition, British model and Jaguar enthusiast David Gandy shared his own 1954 Jaguar XK120, which was restored to bespoke specification by Jaguar Classic in 2019. Launched at the 1948 London Motor Show, the XK120 was produced from 1948 to 1954. Around 200 examples were built with aluminum bodies before being fitted to steel in 1950. Open, two-seat, fixed-head coupe, and drophead coupe models also became available in 1952 and 1953, respectively.
The Jaguar Classic range includes the XK120, the former racing competition car, which has a Suede Green finish with a colour-matched interior. This car was originally owned by a professional rally driver, before ownership passed and the criteria for participation in the XK Register racing series changed. After four decades of the presence of this car in the warehouses, the restoration of the entire metal structure has been completed, as it now enjoys the specifications of the International Automobile Federation, and this car is now ready to resume competitions and challenges.
