Ford appeals to sports car enthusiasts around the world with the launch of the all-new Ford Mustang, its most exciting and exciting seventh generation yet, with a digital cockpit inspired by fighter jets and advanced new naturally aspirated turbocharged engines Through its state-of-the-art and timeless exterior.

“We knew what customers wanted and designed the most digital Mustang ever, while maintaining the all-important driver-centric cabin,” said Ricardo Garcia, Ford interior design director. “Removing some of those physical buttons, like the radio and climate control, was a great option.” And integrating it into a digital display is popular and fits Millennials, Gen-Z and traditional Mustangs.

Off the screen, an all-new, flat, racing-inspired steering wheel offers even more room when you’re seated.

From the outside, animated welcome lighting greets drivers as they approach, and when they step into the vehicle, Mustang displays come alive. And for fans of the revving engine sound, Mustang offers the Rev Remote Control System, which offers the ability to remotely rev the car’s engine with a key fob.

Mustangs feature a standard cloth interior with optional micro-suede vinyl inserts and black seat belts, while Premium models benefit from updated wraparound stitching across the dash and door trim. EcoBoost models have Ford’s “ActiveX” synthetic leather upholstery with multiple color options, while GT models get leather seat inserts.

Higher-end models offer an all-leather-enhanced steering wheel, as well as a choice of color stitching and upholstery perforations across the seat, complemented by color-coordinated and asymmetric stripes on the seat belts.

The center console can also house a wireless mobile phone charging pad, while new overhead USB ports are mounted above the cabin, conveniently placed for track cameras and other devices, helping to keep cords from snaking around the cabin.

The available B&O audio system is optimized for the vehicle, adding to the deep experience of Mustang ownership. Customers can share their ultimate driving playlist through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both of which are fully compatible with SYNC 4.

Amazon Alexa integrated with Ford Streaming makes it possible to play music and podcasts with simple voice commands. Like the all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV, the all-new Mustang also features Ford Power-Up software upgrade capability.

The seventh generation adds a newly sculpted look to its heritage-inspired design, further targeting the Mustang customer.

A low horizontal forehead across the front emphasizes the overall frontal width, while the shape of the upper grille design is influenced by the original 1960s styling. Tri-Bar LED headlamps continue Mustang’s classic lighting signature. Its sleek roofline, wide stance and short rear overhang are also true to the first generation’s original proportions, while widened rear lines indicate power at the wheels in true Mustang style.

The roofline is optimized for driver entry and exit without removing their helmet on the track, and the extended rear spoiler unit incorporates new signature three-bar lighting and a redesigned diffuser to improve aerodynamic balance at the rear.

Each model in the Mustang lineup sports its own unique front fascia. The GT is distinguished from the EcoBoost models by a larger, more aggressive grille that allows for increased airflow, reflecting increased power and performance. The car’s aerodynamics have been improved with the addition of new hood vents and a redesigned front splitter.

“Both the EcoBoost and Mustang GT have unique design cues that deliver on their Mustang performance promise,” said Christopher Walter, Ford Mustang design director. He added: “The new Mustang is more concerned with design and modernity as it embodies the classic Mustang identity.”

The Mustang Convertible continues to exude its distinctive identity by offering maximum freedom in the outdoors. Easy one-push release with a single-handle center latch opens and closes the fully lined, insulated canvas roof. The compact roof design and independent rear suspension also contribute to the car’s class-leading trunk space that can accommodate up to two golf bags.

The all-new Mustang launches with 11 exterior color options, including two new colors, Vapor Blue and YellowSplash, complemented by new colors and stripe designs. Customers can also choose from three Brembo caliper color options: Black, Red and Grabber Blue, as well as an all-new set of alloy wheels, ranging from the standard size 17-inch on base models to 19-inch for the GT with optional 20-inch alloy wheels .

New for 2024 is the Mustang Design Series, which offers more customization options right from the factory. The Bronze Design Series appearance package adds Sinister Bronze alloy wheels with bronze badging and is available on EcoBoost and GT models, with or without the optional Performance Package.

The Mustang’s looks, driving experience and sound are customer appeals that make them want to climb into the driver’s seat and hit the road. The all-new Mustang delivers an even more exciting driving experience with new and advanced engine technologies.

It starts with the Mustang GT, now powered by an advanced 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine. The fourth-generation 5.0-liter will deliver the most naturally aspirated horsepower of any Mustang GT thanks to its innovative dual air intake box and dual exhaust bowl design, which helps reduce induction loss by enabling higher airflow rates.

“This is the sportiest and most inspiring Mustang EcoBoost GT ever driven,” said Ed Krenz, Ford Mustang Chief Engineer. “Whether you drive an automatic or a manual transmission, with drive modes and precise digital engine, suspension and steering controls, we can now give drivers top performance everywhere from their favorite roads to the local circuit.”

Ford brought the manual transmission to a new generation, and the 5.0-liter V8 engine still offers the standard 6-speed manual transmission with eight-cylinder power. Ford’s advanced 10-speed automatic transmission is available, and almost instantly reconfigures shift patterns to match the selected driving situation.

Customers can enjoy driving with fuel efficiency by choosing the EcoBoost model, which is powered by an all-new turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine.

The sense of freedom and confidence that Mustang instills in its drivers is enhanced when they take control of the vehicle’s behavior. On a twisty road or racetrack, the driver can quickly adjust steering effort, engine response and electronic stability control settings with six available drive modes to create the perfect Mustang at any time.

These include Normal, Sport, Slip, Traction and Track settings, as well as an adaptive setting with up to six individual profiles, adjusted to match the driver’s vision. And when each mode is selected, high-resolution graphics in the digital instrument cluster bring the mode to life.

Both Mustang GT and EcoBoost models are available with an optional Performance Package that adds a host of track-focused features, including a front tower strut, Torsen limited-slip differential and selective MagneRide active suspension, wider rear wheels and tires, and larger, 390mm front and 355 mm in the rear Brembo brakes. The GT Performance package adds brake ducts for further improved cooling and an additional engine oil cooler is standard. The Performance Package also offers optional Recaro® seats and an active exhaust.

A Mustang GT with a manual transmission has standard rev matching that helps stabilize the engine revs when the clutch is engaged. This maintains the highest torque between manual gear changes, providing more precision, excitement and better refinement.

Quicker steering ratios and lower steering wheel-to-tire compliance greatly improve the car’s cornering dynamics, while also increasing straight-line power.

The class-first Electronic Drift Brake takes the new evolution to the racetrack, showcasing the Mustang’s rear-wheel-drive traction with the visual appeal and functionality of a traditional mechanical parking brake. The electronic parking brake is also as effective as the performance package on all Mustang models, and is specifically designed for novice drivers to learn and improve their driving skills while providing experienced drivers with a competition-ready system.

The new Mustang is equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360™ features, including speed plate recognition, intelligent adaptive cruise control with Stop-and-Go, lane centering assist, vehicle steering assist and reverse brake assist.

Another key feature is Active Pothole Mitigation within the Performance package which continuously monitors suspension input, chassis, steering and braking and adjusts suspension response accordingly.

Communication with the vehicle through the FordPass™ app is also available to use free remote features such as remotely starting and stopping the vehicle, locking and unlocking the door, scheduling a start time, track and to check and determine the vehicle’s condition. The app also provides important information about the vehicle, such as fuel and oil levels, service history and warranty information.

The all-new Mustang will go on sale in the United States from the summer of 2023 and is assembled at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.
