Dubai World Trade Center begins a new year full of opportunities for continued growth, as the first quarter of this year witnesses the organization of many important conferences and exhibitions. This comes after the huge success of the 2022 events calendar.

The agenda for the first quarter includes 36 different exhibitions, conferences and forums, reflecting the emirate’s economic diversification. Maher Julfar, Executive Vice President of Exhibition and Conference Hall Management at the Dubai World Trade Centre, said: The past year has seen the return of Dubai’s economy to pre-pandemic levels, as the gross domestic product increased by 4.6% year-on-year % grew in the first nine months of 2022.

The Dubai International Pharmaceutical and Technology Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT) is the launch platform for the 2023 event calendar. The 28th edition of this leading pharmaceutical event, which concludes today, is driven by the great success of the conference last year, which witnessed the signing of business deals with a total value of 5.1 billion dirhams, and it returns this year to provide a platform to showcase the latest innovations in the pharmaceutical sector. It will also bring together the brightest minds and prominent personalities, including pharmacists, researchers, academics, scientists, doctors and other health professionals, for a period of three days.


The current quarter of the year is witnessing the organization of the second edition of Coffee World Dubai, the most prominent trade show for coffee, which started yesterday. The Security and Safety Trade Exhibition and Conference (Intersec), the global event for emergency services, security and safety, will return from 17 to 19 January, bringing together the views of those working in the sector and helping to accelerate the exploration of the strategies and technologies needed to enable security professionals around the world to meet the growing challenges.

The conference will witness the attendance of delegations from more than 50 countries, including 10 official international pavilions, in addition to 4 conferences. Intersec will also host an official world-class conference, in which 500 international and regional speakers will participate.

From January 30 to February 2, the center will host the Arab Health Exhibition and Conference, the largest gathering of health professionals in the Middle East and North Africa region. For the first time, the conference will include the smart health pavilion, which serves as a parallel exhibition and conference, and the pavilion will showcase the latest sustainable technological innovations for healthcare.

Among the prominent medical events to be seen in the current quarter of the year are the Emirates International Dental Conference and the Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC), the largest annual scientific dental conference and exhibition in the world. The period leading up to the holy month of Ramadan will be a series of consecutive events, as the month of March will be one of the busiest months of the year, and the Dubai International Conference and Exhibition for Dermatology and Laser (Dubai Derma) will organized from March 1 to 3, this conference is the largest A-scientific meeting for skin care in the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian subcontinent, and over three days it will provide opportunities to gain experience, learn about the latest trends, and develop skills in this area. The conference also offers participants the opportunity to listen to 250 prominent speakers from around the world.

The Middle East Energy Exhibition, which will be held during the period from 7 to 9 March under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, looks forward to the future of energy as it covers five main sectors related to energy products, and it will also host the “first strategic conference”. In 2022, the exhibition succeeded in enabling participants to sign business deals worth more than 2.5 billion dirhams.

And to add artistic and creative touches to the activities of the first quarter, the World Art Fair Dubai will be launched from March 9 to 12, bringing more inspiration and originality to the Dubai events agenda, through artworks covering various categories, from paintings, prints and photography, to sculpture, pottery and glass. .

This year’s edition of the exhibition will witness the World Art Fair Dubai Awards, which celebrate the best talent, in five categories: Best Emerging Artist, Best Solo Artist, Best Art Exhibition, Distinguished Art Award, and Non-Fungible Symbols Award.

The nineteenth session of the Dubai International Conference and Exhibition for Relief and Development (DIHAD) will begin from March 13 to 15. This year the exhibition will be held under the theme “Energy and Illumination: Benefiting from Available Resources”. The conference’s agenda includes research on increasing the reasons for the limited production of many energy sources, and the inability to access other sources, in view of the growing demand for them.

The Gulf Information Security Exhibition and Conference (GISEC), the most prominent event in the region, for networking and doing business in the field of information technology security, will be launched from 14 to 16 March to give specialists in the information and technology security . sector and entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in this field sector, and communication with high-level personalities from government agencies and large companies from around the world.
