The Minister of Labor sponsored job description workshops for the Education Technology Syndicate

The Minister of Labor in the caretaker government, Mustafa Bayram, sponsored a workshop describing the profession of educational technology “in a promising national precedent,” as he indicated in his speech Bayram during the honoring and distribution of certificates of participation in the educational and technological experts who participated in the study of the descriptions, and delved into the discussion of matters related to the technology profession Education at three levels offered by the union under thirty classifications to be a reference for all professional unions, in particular for human resource managers, management of educational and technological institutions, educational publishing houses, educational curriculum preparation centers, employment contracts, job title, employment request, identification of required competencies, and training titles for soft skills and digital skills.

At the beginning of the meeting, the union’s secretary, Nora Al-Marabi, explained the terms of membership in the union, to explain the starting point of the job description.

Captain Rabih Baalbaki welcomed the participants and pointed out that “this interest will inevitably result in the quality of performance and work skill, in addition to achieving justice in terms of determining the responsibility of each job title for the specialty of educational technology,” he explains . the mechanism and the database for setting up the data in all the fields of professional description foundations that it exceeds thirty fields, announces that “the participating experts will undertake the process of checking the information based on the levels and frameworks of professional, academic and university work and the requirements of the labor market, as the participants previously received three basic descriptions of the Directorate (Coordinator) Education Technology, which is a director (coordinator / supervisor) of education technology and an expert (Design of content and training) education technology and a technician (hardware and software technician) education technology The final versions will be published on all websites including the Syndicate website after completion.

And he announced: “The development of a program to describe all professions, which is developed in collaboration with specialized digital civil society associations, because the primary goal behind the Education Technology Syndicate is innovation in education and in the knowledge economy.”

The head of the Islamic Center for Guidance and Higher Education, a specialist in career guidance, Engineer Ali Zalzalah, instructed important guidelines to consider within the framework of the general classification of professions, and the international and local experiences of the Center put into service. of the participants, and explained the mechanisms of description and the post title in detail, based on the basic headings that constitute a reference for the participants in the inclusion of content each according to his competence.

Then the vice president of the syndicate, Elie Saab, directed how to coordinate work teams and make adjustments, explaining the reality of this profession on the ground and the challenges it faced due to the intertwining and conflict with the IT manager, who did not. educational backgrounds in most of them.

The educational committee officer in the union, Danny Awad, explained the skills required for the profession of educational technology and the importance of defining the rights and duties of the coordinator, expert and technician of educational technology.

Afterwards, the participants commented on the form and content, and the workshops had an important discussion in the details that necessitated the establishment of a central follow-up committee and followed up the description digitally to result in reference documents that contribute to the development of new educational curricula and is used for human resource management in describing occupations for managers and professionals in determining the required tasks and for universities and professionals in setting up new assignments at all grades and levels, and the Ministry of Labor to classify and add new professions, and trade unions as a reference for the regulation of the rights and responsibilities of its members and the continuous development of the competences of professions.

In his speech, Bayram praised “the work of trade unions, especially what the Education Technology Syndicate offers in terms of developing the professional work of trade unions and innovation in trade union and professional work in terms of opening new and essential jobs in the reality of the knowledge economy,” and he said: “It is an honor for me to be present among a group of educators. Then Minister Bayram congratulated the participants and presented them with the certificates of participation.
